How to check your email (+security)
You can use either the webmail interface or an email client like Outlook or Eudora.
Access your webmail interface at:
http://yourdomain.com/webmail
Please remember to use the full account name like you@yourdomain.com and not only the first part of the name - 'you'.
Once you login, you can choose between two mail programs: Squirrel Mail or Neomail. Both, Squirrel Mail and Neomail are very easy to use and have numerous options.
Just click on one of the interfaces: if you are logging into this account's webmail for the first time it will ask you for configuration options, like From: field and a signature. Enter your desired options and click save, then continue to your inbox.
NOTE 1:
When you login to webmail from the control panel ('webmail->check'), you check the
default email address for your account, which is automatically created.
NOTE 2:
It is possible that some ISPs block port 2096, which is used for the secure webmail
connection. If you are unable to login securely, you might try http://yourdomain.com:2095
2. If you decide to use an email client, such as OUTLOOK or EUDORA, here are the settings you need:
servers: incoming(POP3): mail.yourdomain.com
outgoing: mail.yourdomain.com
username: account@yourdomain.com :make sure that you use the full name 'account' is wrong, account@yourdomain.com is right
password: **********
SMTP authentication must be enabled.
Am I protected from SPAM?
60% of the total email traffic in the internet is SPAM (unsolicited email).
Our solution to this problem is called SPAMASSASSIN, which is capable of eliminating more than 98% of all spam messages. Its performance depends on its options which are tuned from our users control panel. These options are well explained on the configuration page available in our control panel.
Am I protected from viruses?
As our servers use Linux, they are invulnerable to most viruses.
However there is certain danger that an infected email message is downloaded to a Windows computer and compromises it. That's why we have installed ClamAntivirus, which scans each and every email message passing through our servers. The antivirus is updated DAILY and is 100% effective.
Autoresponders
You can set up a different autoresponder for each email account you have.
E-mail Filtering
Allows you to specify rules according to which incoming messages are distributed to different email addresses/locations.
Forwarders
Forward incoming messages to another, existing email address.

It has a wide range of configuration options. If you are a client of Fame Hosting, please login to your control panel, where the configuration of SpamAssassin is explained. For more information on SpamAssassin, please visit http://www.spamassassin.org .
Spam Policy
We monitor our servers closely. If somebody decides to spam we will notice the unusual activity within minutes.
Attempts to spam will result in immediate suspension of hosting accounts.
What is the total size of my mailboxes?
You can choose whatever size you want, just be aware that the total size of your mailboxes, files and databases should not exceed your disk space.
What is an MX record and how do I change it?
MX record is short for mail exchange record, an entry in a domain name database that identifies the mail server that is responsible for handling e-mails for that domain name. In other words, if you change the MX records at domain1.com to domain2.com, all email sent to domain1.com will now go to domain2.com.
NOTE: If you change your MX record to something other than the current server, we will no longer be responsible for your mail.
